[a passing thought comes to Dohalim as he watches Zhongli struggle; could he really kill the deity with his bare hands, if he wanted to? Could he quite literally squeeze the life out of him, would he be allowed to? Would it be easy? He can feel the hand on his arm plead for air, to relent, but what if he doesn't?

Zhongli looks… almost beautiful, like this. Repentant, unfocused eyes of gilded gold that shine with tears… Should he keep going? Just to see how far this goes, to see how far Zhongli will let him go.

But he does relent, thumbs lifting from his throat, allowing him to breathe again. Is it the rational part of him that does so? That rational part of him that's desperate to stop the pain, to stop him from hurting Zhongli further? Or is it that soothing apology felt through their bond that he clings to, now that he can feel that warmth again? His hands don't leave the deity's neck yet]

How will you make it up to me? How will you repent? If I were to offer you an option, would you say no? I wonder...
