it's almost laughable that the gods themselves almost need permission from mortals to be close to them, but times truly have changed, it seems. even if Rukkhadevata is so secluded from the world outside of her grove, the rate of information that comes to her and her domain doesn't slow.
of course, that does end up sparking just a little bit of guilt. if she didn't have her post to consider, then maybe she could have intervened when the Renan had gone on his rampage. perhaps she could have seen how deep the corruption had settled in sooner, and spared Dohalim some of this pain. she does recognise that there's no point in dwelling in the past, but the goddess can't help but lament over it.
